The Nurse in Medsurg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care practices independently, providing routine and complex care. Responsibilities include meeting competencies, providing nursing care, administering medications, and educating patients. Core competencies involve utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care/regulations. Technical competencies include clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 2 years of experience in Medsurg/Telemetry and Intermediate Care, BLS, ACLS, RN License, PALS, and de-escalation training. Full-time position with work schedule TBD.
