Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures. Responsibilities include preanesthetic review and preparation, intraoperative care, ability to manage different modes of anesthesia, participation in continuous improvement, maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor, and working within a team concept. Qualifications require education from accredited nursing and anesthesia schools, current Arkansas Advanced Nurse Practitioner’s license, ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include completing yearly in-services, attending meetings, and presenting in-services.
