Overall objective of job: Ensure delivery of nursing care for residents in compliance with regulations and guidelines to meet medical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs effectively.
Essential functions of job: Plan and direct resident care, complete assessments, transcribe orders, provide reports, maintain records, supervise staff, attend meetings, participate in facility management, adhere to regulations, and engage in quality improvement.
Supervision received: Occasional instruction from Nursing Supervisor.
Supervision given: Provide supervision to nurses aides, ward clerk, and volunteers as delegated.
Working conditions: Work indoors with fluctuations in temperature, noise exposure, dust/dirt, potential outbursts of disruptive behavior, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Essential physical/mental/stress demands: Frequent movement, lifting, climbing, stooping, standing/sitting, reaching, normal hearing and vision, and ability to handle stress.
Qualifications: Current LPN license, 3-5 years of LPN nursing experience, effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, flexibility, confidentiality, knowledge of nursing procedures, CPR/First Aid, patient care methods, and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
