Directs and provides professional post anesthesia nursing care for patients of all ages. Utilizes nursing process for care, supervision, and decision-making in PACU or pre-operative area. Requirements: RN license, BLS certification, ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months, effective communication skills, previous nursing experience preferred. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing most of the time, and manual dexterity. Environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous substances, and irregular work hours.
