Competent Nurse in Critical Care setting practices independently, provides routine and complex care, makes appropriate assignments, and delegates tasks. Utilizes nursing process, administers medications, documents care, assesses learning needs, and provides education. Demonstrates core competencies in nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care/regulations. Possesses technical competencies in clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Requires Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 2 years of Critical Care experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, RN license, and full-time availability.
