Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license. BLS Certification required within 2 weeks of hire. Other certifications must be obtained within 6 months. Skills include current knowledge appropriate to patient population, understanding of patients’ rights, and clear communication. Experience required. Reports to Patient Care Director or Manager. Environment includes exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays. Physical requirements: ability to handle emergencies, prolonged standing/walking, heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and fine motor coordination.
