Directs and provides professional post anesthesia nursing care for patients of all ages. Utilizes nursing process for care, supervises PACU staff, and may make decisions in manager’s absence. Requirements: Graduate of NLN accredited nursing school, current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license, BLS certification, ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire. Preferred experience in PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing most of the time, and manual dexterity. Environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous substances, and infectious agents. Hours may be irregular.
