The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments, and delegating tasks. Responsibilities include meeting competencies, providing nursing care, administering medications, documenting patient information, and educating patients. Core competencies involve utilizing the nursing process, managing patient flow, overseeing unit operations, and ensuring safe practice and quality care. Technical competencies include following clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment use, medical order processing, patient chart reading, and ensuring patient safety. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing experience, BLS certification, and an RN license. The work schedule is 3 days of 12-hour shifts, full-time.
