The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments and delegations. Responsibilities include meeting competencies, providing nursing care, administering medications, documenting patient information, and ensuring patient safety. Core competencies involve utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care, and regulations. Technical competencies include clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing experience, BLS certification, and an RN license. Full-time position with a 5-day, 8-hour work schedule.
