The Nurse is responsible for providing routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments, and delegating tasks to other care providers. They must meet competency standards, utilize the nursing process, address patient needs, administer medications, document care, and provide patient education. The role involves utilizing critical thinking skills, ensuring patient safety, managing patient flow, overseeing unit operations, and complying with regulations. Technical competencies include following clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment use, medical order processing, patient chart reading, and ensuring patient safety. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing experience, BLS certification, and an RN license. The work schedule is 3 days of 12-hour shifts, full-time.
