The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care in accordance with patient treatment plans. Responsibilities include meeting competencies, providing nursing care, administering medications, documenting patient information, and educating patients and families. Core competencies involve utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care/regulations, and technical competencies in clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 3-5 years of experience in MedSurg, Intermediate Care, Critical Care or Emergency Department, BLS certification, and RN license. The work type is Per Diem As Needed.
