An OR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care in the OR environment, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They delegate, coordinate, and supervise the OR team to ensure patient safety. Requirements include graduation from a State Board School of Nursing, one year of nursing experience, current RN license in Texas, AHA BLS and ACLS certification (within 6 months), PALS certification (within 6 months), CNOR certification (preferred), medication competence (within 2 weeks of employment), and computer competence (within 4 weeks of employment).
