The job is for a competent Nurse in the Emergency Department of a hospital, responsible for providing routine and complex care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. The role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, documenting care, and educating patients and families. The Nurse must meet specific competencies related to nursing practice, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care, and regulations. Technical competencies include knowledge of clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading, and patient safety. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, one year of nursing experience, current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, crisis intervention training, and TNCC for trauma facilities. The work schedule is 7PM – 7AM, full-time.
