The job requires a competent Nurse to provide routine and complex care independently in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, administering medications, documenting patient care, and educating patients and families. The Nurse must demonstrate core competencies in utilizing the Nursing Process, Patient Throughput & Patient Flow Process, Unit Operations, and Safe Practice/Quality Care/Regulations. Technical competencies in Clinical Policies and Standards, Health Information Documentation, Medical Equipment, Medical Order Processing, Patient Chart Reading and Interpretation, and Patient Safety are also essential. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing specialty experience, BLS certification, and an RN License in the state of employment or compact.
