The job requires a competent Nurse to provide routine and complex care independently, address patient needs, administer medications, document care, and educate patients. Competencies include utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care, regulations, and technical skills in clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading, and patient safety. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, one year of nursing experience, current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, de-escalation training, TNCC, and PALS certifications. The work schedule is part-time.
