A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and ancillary nursing personnel activities while maintaining professional nursing standards. Requirements include graduation from a State Board School of Nursing, 1 year of experience preferred, Critical Care/Emergency Department experience preferred, current RN license in Louisiana, American Heart Association BLS certification within 2 weeks of employment, current PALS and ACLS certifications within specified timeframes, and de-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
