Directs and provides professional post anesthesia nursing care for patients of all ages. Supervises PACU or pre-operative staff, making decisions in the absence of higher management. Requires RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift heavy weights. Preferred experience in PACU, ambulatory care, or critical care. Must have strong communication skills and adhere to professional nursing standards. Physical demands include lifting and standing for long periods. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and stressful situations. Irregular and extended work hours may be necessary.
