Core competencies involve utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care, and regulations. Technical competencies include clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing specialty experience, BLS certification, and an RN license.
