The Nurse in this role practices independently in Emergency and clinical settings, providing routine and complex care according to patient treatment plans. Responsibilities include meeting competencies, providing nursing care, administering medications, documenting patient information, and educating patients and caregivers. Core competencies involve utilizing the Nursing Process, ensuring patient throughput and flow, managing unit operations, and maintaining safe practice and quality care. Technical competencies include following clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment use, medical order processing, patient chart reading, and ensuring patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 2 years of experience in Emergency Department and another specialty, BLS, ACLS, TNCC certifications, and RN license.
