The Nurse is responsible for providing routine and complex care, making appropriate assignments, and delegating tasks to other care providers. They must meet competency expectations, utilize the nursing process, address patient needs, administer medications, document care, assess learning needs, and provide education. The Nurse must demonstrate core competencies in utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care/regulations, and technical competencies in clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing specialty experience, BLS, RN License, ACLS, PALS, crisis intervention training, and TNCC for trauma designated facilities. The work schedule is 7PM – 7AM, full-time.
