A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and ancillary nursing personnel activities while maintaining professional nursing standards. Requirements include graduation from a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent, six months of preferred experience, current Texas nursing license, AHA BLS certification within two weeks of employment, ACLS certification within eight weeks, and Arrhythmia Recognition Course within eight weeks.
