The job requires a competent Nurse to provide routine and complex care independently in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, administering medications, documenting patient care, and providing education to patients and families. The Nurse must demonstrate core competencies in utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care/regulations, and technical competencies in clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, medical equipment, medical order processing, patient chart reading and interpretation, and patient safety. Job requirements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, 1 year of related nursing specialty experience, BLS certification, and an RN license in the state of employment or compact.
