Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, and provision of nursing care. Supervises staff and may act as charge nurse. Involves care for various patient populations. Implements care plans, evaluates patient responses, provides education, and ensures effective communication. Competencies include utilizing the nursing process, patient throughput, unit operations, safe practice/quality care, and regulations. Technical competencies cover clinical policies, health information documentation, medical equipment, order processing, chart reading, and patient safety. Requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN license, and BLS certification. Work schedule is per diem.
