The CT Technologist performs computed tomography, general radiology, and fluoroscopy procedures to produce cross-section images for diagnosis. Responsibilities include accurate imaging, patient care, data entry, radiation safety, and education. Requirements include completion of a Radiology Technology program, ARRT registration, BLS certification, and licensure. Qualifications include knowledge of human growth and development, computer technology, anatomy, and excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, operate CT scan equipment, and be available for on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays.
