The job involves performing Disability Assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA’s disability benefits process. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will review medical records, conduct in-person physical exams, and document findings electronically. This role does not involve making disability determinations, treating, or prescribing medication. Key attributes include conducting Independent Medical Assessments, analyzing data, time management skills, and holding a current NP or PA license. The position requires seeing 3-5 Veterans per day during full-time hours in an in-person setting. Training, support, health insurance, and a computer are provided.
