Coordinates orientation of new staff members to nursing inpatient units, assesses learning needs, develops orientation calendar, ensures appropriate scheduling of classes, assists in goal development, collaborates with unit to ensure acclimation, assigns mentors, monitors orientation progress, makes recommendations for improvement, collaborates with Nursing Onboarding Manager, ensures compliance with accrediting agencies, assists in Preceptor Development, supports staff on off-shifts, provides regular communication, serves as liaison for new hires, assesses progress of new graduate RNs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, 3 years of acute care/PCU experience, Virginia RN license, BLS-HCP certification, computer literacy.
